Frequently Asked Questions to help you navigate your adoption process

Who is All Star Puppies?
Great question. We are an online platform for a small community of family breeders to utilize for advertising, marketing, payment, and adoption inventory of their pups. We also work for you, the buyer, to ensure each breeder raises happy, healthy puppies to help complete your forever family. We work with you to ensure you get a pup that fits your family’s needs and has a smooth, issue-free transition into your home. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at info@allstarpuppies.com.
Can I be ensured my puppy isn’t coming from a puppy mill?
Yes, absolutely. We represent a small community of family breeders who believe together we can accomplish more. We help each other out and focus on our strengths to provide you with the happiest, healthiest puppies possible. We regularly monitor our breeders to ensure they adhere to our strict guidelines of compliance and provide you with a happy, healthy puppy which are also backed by a 1 year health guarantee (when applicable)! Most of our breeders have families with children, as child socialization is healthy for both kids and puppies! If you have any questions or concerns regarding your puppy upon arrival, please let us know by emailing info@allstarpuppies.com, and we will personally look into each inquiry.
Most deposits on the site are 10% of the purchase price but can vary from breeder to breeder. The deposit will reserve your pup until he or she is 8 weeks old, or for up to two weeks without any additional cost. All deposits are non-refundable.
Ohio law requires that each puppy needs to be 8 weeks old before they can be picked up or delivered. If you’d like to be on the waiting list for an upcoming litter not yet born, you may place a refundable deposit. However, upon selecting a pup from that litter and after 6 weeks of age, that deposit is no longer refundable and treated as all other non-refundable deposits.
Ohio law requires that each puppy needs to be 8 weeks old before they can be picked up or delivered. So if the pup is 8 weeks of age, the answer is yes. We would encourage you to place a deposit, as each puppy that is available online can have a deposit placed on it at any time, thus we can not guarantee a pup will still be available without a deposit. If a deposit is placed to reserve a pup, that pup will show “puppy has found a home” and will not be able to be added to your cart.
Where do I pick up my puppy?
If you choose to pick up your puppy, we will try to have you pick up your puppy directly from each breeder. However, as our breeders are not available every day of the week, we may have you meet at a foster home or another breeder’s home periodically. Some breeders are in very rural areas without good service so for the safety of both the breeder and you, meeting at a public place is the best option. For those who wish to have additional training for their puppies prior to pickup or delivery, your puppy will be picked up at a foster home. We can also arrange to have someone meet you halfway at a public place or at a nearby airport for pickup. If you have any specific requests, please speak to your puppy specialist or leave a note upon checkout.
Yes, we work with several wonderful third-party personal pet delivery services to ensure your puppy has the safest and most reliable journey home! We offer ground delivery, air delivery, and also have nanny services available if needed. We can also arrange to meet you halfway or meet you at the airport if these options are preferred. We have delivered puppies nationwide and internationally. NOTE: All stubbed nosed puppies are not able to fly and will require ground delivery or nanny services. Please contact us at info@allstarpuppies.com for additional information.
Each puppy needs to be 8 weeks of age before the puppy can be delivered. We try to schedule deliveries as soon as we receive a deposit, however the exact date and time will vary based upon the shipper, your location and the time of year. We try to have each puppy delivered within two weeks. PLEASE NOTE: due to the current times and COVID-19 we are having some delays in shipping as flights are still very limited, but 100% of our pups have arrived safely to their new fur-ever home.
You can simply enter your name as the new owner of the pup and mail it in to the address on the registration form. Many of the registrations also provide an online option to fill out and submit in order to receive your official registration documents for the pup.

If your puppy comes with a microchip, you can simply CLICK HERE and register the microchip with your contact information. Your puppy’s microchip will NOT be pre-registered. As the first owner of your puppy, you will be the first one to register the puppy’s microchip as its rightful owner. Many new owners also decide to rename their puppy, and so registering the microchip yourself will ensure the puppy will be registered with his or her forever name.

Are your breeders licensed?
Yes and no. We have both. Ohio breeding guidelines are some of the strictest in the country, and each breeder is required to adhere to them. Many of our breeders are small family breeders and do not need to be licensed if they have less than 5 females.
